Armed Robbery at La Tiendita in Concord

On April 16, the La Tiendita on McGill Ave in Concord was robbed by two men who had their faces covered with bandanas. One of the suspects was carrying a small semi-auto handgun. The suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The subjects pictured are persons of interest in the case. Robbery CVS at 2002 Shiloh Church Road

Just before 9:15 AM this morning, a white male came into the CVS at 2002 Shiloh Church Road, displayed a black semi-automatic handgun, and demanded prescription medication from the pharmacy. The suspect left store with a large quantity of medication and got into a white colored sedan that was parked near the front doors of the business. The suspect vehicle was last seen driving north through the CVS parking lot and appeared to have some type of dark material hanging from rear of the vehicle. The suspect was wearing a dark blue hoodie that said “Bering Sea 2007” on the back and also had on black pants. He was approximately 5’5 tall, weighed around 150 pounds, and had a reddish-blonde goatee.

Breakin at Foxfire Lanes

A property owner of Foxfire Lanes discovered the business was broken into upon arriving for work on the morning of March 30, 2015. In reviewing the business’s video surveillance footage, it was discovered the break-in occurred around 5 AM and the suspect appears to be a heavy set W/M. Several of the coin operated machines inside the business were broken into and the suspect attempted to gain entry into the ATM but was unsuccessful. The estimated value of the items removed from the business is $1,500.00. The suspect is believed to have left the area in a light colored mid-sized vehicle.

Warrants for arrest Lamar Reshard Carson

Warrants for arrest were obtained on a Lamar Reshard Carson for Felony Breaking & Entering, Larceny after Breaking & Entering and Possession of Firearm by felon. The pending charges against Mr. Carson are for his involvement with an incident that occurred on January 23, 2015 in the City of Kannapolis.

Mr. Carson is 22 years of age and is described as being 5’7″ in height, weighting approximately 145 lbs and has dread locks. The last known address for Mr. Carson was 1101 Poole Place NW in Concord, NC

HARRISBURG (NC) ARMED ROBBERY

[UPDATE: The suspect has been identified as David Preston Harris. Harris was arrested by NC probation authorities on 2/6/2015 for a parole violation. He was later interviewed by CCSO detectives and confessed to this robbery. He is currently being held in the Cabarrus County Jail with NO bond. Thanks for all the tips we received from citizens that helped lead to this quick outcome!

Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the QuickTrip at 5755 Hwy. 49 South, Harrisburg, N.C. on February 4, 2015. At approximately 6:00am, a white male with a full beard wearing a grey hooded sweat shirt, sweat pants, hat and sunglasses entered the store and stopped for a few minutes before approaching the cashier and pulling a small handgun from his pocket and pointing it at the cashier. The suspect demanded the cashier give him everything in the register before fleeing the store and driving away in a gold minivan. Video of this incident is available under a separate post.

Armed Robbery at the Rushco convenience store

On January 29, 2015, an armed robbery occurred at the Rushco convenience store located at 604 North Cannon Boulevard in Kannapolis. The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic male, approximately 5’6- 5’9 in height and of a slim build. The suspect was wearing black Adidas pants, a black hooded sweat shirt, and a green baseball cap with a straight white brim. The suspect also had a blue and white striped bandanna covering his face. The suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk, stole cash, and left on foot.

Credit Card Thief Dec. 29 2014

Can you identify this suspected credit card thief?
During the early morning hours of Dec. 29th, an unknown subject broke into a vehicle just off of Lake Concord Rd and stole a credit card among other items. The subject in the ATM picture attempted to use the card at the QT located at the Cloverleaf Plaza shortly after 7:00 am that morning. Someone also attempted use the card at the Rugged Wearhouse also at the Cloverleaf Plaza between 6:30 and 7:00 am. Arson Investigation in Concord

The Concord Police Department is investigating an arson that occurred on December 13, 2014 at McGee Park (219 Corban Ave). Unknown suspects set several pieces of playground equipment of fire. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.

ARMED ROBBERY INVESTIGATION – November 18, 2014

ARMED ROBBERY INVESTIGATION

On November 18, 2014 at approximately 8:41 pm, the Kannapolis Police Department responded to the Home Towne Suites located at 3200 Cloverleaf Parkway in reference to an armed robbery. According to the clerk, the suspect entered the front lobby of the business, jumped over the counter, displayed a dark colored hand gun and demanded money. When the clerk opened the cash register, the suspect removed the entire cash drawer from the register and ran from the business. The clerk was unharmed during the robbery.

The clerk described the suspect as being a black male, approximately 5”9” in height, wearing a gray sweat shirt, jeans and light colored tennis shoes. The suspect also was wearing a large light brown wig in an attempt to conceal his identity. The clerk was unable to provide a mode or direction of travel of the suspect after he left the business. We are currently working with the management of the business in obtaining the surveillance footage of the robbery.
