Rayvon Wade, a registered sex offender, is wanted by the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office a violation of the Sex Offender Law -for Failure to Notify of Address Change and Providing False Registration Information. His last known address was 145 Corban Ave SE in Concord, NC, but an investigation found that he has been staying in the Westgreen Apts. off Rainbow Drive in Kannapolis, NC as recently as the first week in December. He indicated to family members that he was moving to Pageland SC. Authorities in Pageland have been notified of this information. Wade was convicted of Attempted Rape in 1997.

The ninth annual golf tournament to raise funds for Cabarrus County Crime Stoppers will be held Monday, Nov. 7 at The Club at Irish Creek in Kannapolis.
This is the sole fundraiser to fund Crime Stoppers for the year. The majority of the money raised pays for the tips supplied by the public to solve crimes that might otherwise go unsolved.
Crime Stoppers is a program designed to draw out information from the public that might otherwise not be revealed to police.
On June 6, 2000, Ralph Donzel Phillips, a white male, was shot at the I-85 north bound rest area in Concord. After he was shot Phillips drove his car to Kannapolis where he was found by a citizen. Phillips told the citizen that “They tried to rob me and they shot me.” Phillips was transported to Northeast Medical Center where he died. The only information that the Concord Police Department has received on this case has been an anonymous phone call to a local bail bondsman, and an anonymous letter written to the Concord Police Department.

Between 4:00 and 4:30 am on August 8, 2011, unknown persons broke into Royal Auto Sales at 415 Concord Pkwy N near the post office in Concord. The suspects took keys to several vehicles. 6 vehicles were stolen but 2 were located nearby.
