Warrants for arrest were obtained on a Lamar Reshard Carson for Felony Breaking & Entering, Larceny after Breaking & Entering and Possession of Firearm by felon. The pending charges against Mr. Carson are for his involvement with an incident that occurred on January 23, 2015 in the City of Kannapolis.
Mr. Carson is 22 years of age and is described as being 5’7″ in height, weighting approximately 145 lbs and has dread locks. The last known address for Mr. Carson was 1101 Poole Place NW in Concord, NC

[UPDATE: The suspect has been identified as David Preston Harris. Harris was arrested by NC probation authorities on 2/6/2015 for a parole violation. He was later interviewed by CCSO detectives and confessed to this robbery. He is currently being held in the Cabarrus County Jail with NO bond. Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the QuickTrip at 5755 Hwy. 49 South, Harrisburg, N.C. on February 4, 2015. At approximately 6:00am, a white male with a full beard wearing a grey hooded sweat shirt, sweat pants, hat and sunglasses entered the store and stopped for a few minutes before approaching the cashier and pulling a small handgun from his pocket and pointing it at the cashier. The suspect demanded the cashier give him everything in the register before fleeing the store and driving away in a gold minivan. Video of this incident is available under a separate post.

On January 29, 2015, an armed robbery occurred at the Rushco convenience store located at 604 North Cannon Boulevard in Kannapolis. The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic male, approximately 5’6- 5’9 in height and of a slim build. The suspect was wearing black Adidas pants, a black hooded sweat shirt, and a green baseball cap with a straight white brim. The suspect also had a blue and white striped bandanna covering his face. The suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk, stole cash, and left on foot.

Can you identify this suspected credit card thief?
During the early morning hours of Dec. 29th, an unknown subject broke into a vehicle just off of Lake Concord Rd and stole a credit card among other items. The subject in the ATM picture attempted to use the card at the QT located at the Cloverleaf Plaza shortly after 7:00 am that morning. Someone also attempted use the card at the Rugged Wearhouse also at the Cloverleaf Plaza between 6:30 and 7:00 am. The Concord Police Department is investigating an arson that occurred on December 13, 2014 at McGee Park (219 Corban Ave). Unknown suspects set several pieces of playground equipment of fire. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
ARMED ROBBERY INVESTIGATION
On November 18, 2014 at approximately 8:41 pm, the Kannapolis Police Department responded to the Home Towne Suites located at 3200 Cloverleaf Parkway in reference to an armed robbery. According to the clerk, the suspect entered the front lobby of the business, jumped over the counter, displayed a dark colored hand gun and demanded money. When the clerk opened the cash register, the suspect removed the entire cash drawer from the register and ran from the business. The clerk was unharmed during the robbery.
The clerk described the suspect as being a black male, approximately 5”9” in height, wearing a gray sweat shirt, jeans and light colored tennis shoes. The suspect also was wearing a large light brown wig in an attempt to conceal his identity. The clerk was unable to provide a mode or direction of travel of the suspect after he left the business. We are currently working with the management of the business in obtaining the surveillance footage of the robbery. She was last seen November 8th at approximately 9pm, in the vicinity of 2900 Island Point Drive, Concord NC. She was last seen wearing: Blue Hooded Sweatshirt, Jeans, Black and White Air Jordans. The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office (NC), in conjunction with the Concord Police Department, are investigating two armed robberies of Harris Teeter Grocery Stores in Cabarrus County. The first incident occurred at the Harris Teeter located at 9900 Poplar Tent Road, Concord, N.C. on 10/12/14 at approximately 11:00pm. The second incident occurred at the Harris Teeter located at 9641 Brookdale Drive, Charlotte, N.C. (Cabarrus County) on 11/9/14 at approximately 9:30pm. The two suspects are described as black males, one being approximately 6’-6’1” tall, slender build and the other approximately 5’7” tall with a stockier build. The suspect with the stockier build was wearing what appeared to be a homemade camouflage mask over his head and face. The taller suspect had a dark colored mask covering his face. Sometime during the evening of October 15. 2014, and the morning of October 16, 2014, Brothers Tire Sales located at 1216 N. Main Street in Kannapolis was burglarized. It appears the suspect(s) entered the business through the service area and then accessed other areas of the business. One of the owners, Brad Brothers, reported a quantity of cash was missing from the business.
